Sheritha Chambliss, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner at Christie’s Family Health LLC, providing high-quality mental health care to adolescents, teens, and adults throughout Texas. Sheritha's initial career started in 2007 after completing her undergraduate degree at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked as an ICU nurse for over six years before pursuing her graduate degree in nursing education at the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. Sheritha worked as a nurse educator for four years before obtaining her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Chamberlain University in 2016. Upon completing her graduate degree, she worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a variety of settings where she found that many patients struggled not only with chronic medical conditions but also mental health conditions that directly impacted their overall wellbeing. She witnessed a lack of support and community resources during her time working in a family clinic and was inspired to pursue a postgraduate degree at Maryville University in mental health. As a mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of health care experience, Sheritha specializes in diagnosing and treating various mental health conditions. She has knowledge in a wide range of conditions and provides services that aim to reduce patient's symptoms of anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, and other mental health conditions through medication management. Sheritha's approach to treatment is a patient-centered treatment approach that combines counseling, healthy lifestyle changes, and prescription medication. Her caring and compassionate approach to treatment helps to promote client's understanding of presenting symptoms, openness to change, and adherence to treatment. Sheritha loves getting to know her patients and their families.
