Sheritha Chambliss
Sheritha Chambliss is a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) at Christie’s Family Health LLC, dedicated to providing exceptional mental health care to children, adolescents, teens (ages 8+), and adults throughout Texas.
Sheritha's medical career began in 2007 upon completing her undergraduate nursing degree at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She served as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse for over six years, delivering critical, lifesaving patient interventions. Driven to educate future generations of healers, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix and served as a university nurse educator for four years.
In 2016, Sheritha earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Chamberlain University. Working as an FNP in primary family clinics, she observed firsthand that countless patients suffering from chronic physical illnesses were simultaneously battling untreated mental health conditions. Witnessing a profound shortage of community mental health resources, she was inspired to earn her postgraduate degree in Psychiatric Mental Health from Maryville University.
With more than 20 years of diverse healthcare experience, Sheritha blends clinical precision with deep empathy. Her patient-centered philosophy combines evidence-based medication management, lifestyle modifications, and therapeutic counseling to help clients reclaim their joy and vitality.

A Personal Journey to Mental Wellness
The deeply personal experience that inspired the founding of Christie's Family Health.
"I started my journey as a mental health provider after dealing with my own personal struggle with mental health. In 2016, I started losing my hair and the doctors were not able to figure out why my hair loss was so rapid. It was not until I completed my final hair follicle injection on June 10, 2016, that I realized I was struggling with symptoms of depression."
"The doctors treating me did not believe I needed any further treatment other than continued injections despite continued hair loss. One of the doctors even told me, 'It is just hair, you will be okay.' At the time, I felt so down and less of a woman, but did not have anyone that understood how I felt. Mental health was not something that my family believed in, so I was alone and isolated."
